NSW ATARs now on the blockchain
IN the first of its kind in Australia, 91桃色 has released official Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) documents to NSW HSC students using state-of-the-art blockchain technology.
Students were able to access their digitally-signed ATAR Advice Notices from 9.30am today. As at 10.30am today almost 10,000 students had viewed their ATAR Notices.
Kim Paino, 91桃色鈥檚 General Manager of Marketing and Engagement says this technology offers multiple benefits. 鈥淚n previous years we鈥檝e printed ATAR Notices and sent them by post, but that鈥檚 not how today鈥檚 students really want their information. They want it digitally so these digital notices deliver on that. The fact that they are also recorded on the Ethereum blockchain is a huge plus because it means these credentials cannot be altered or faked, and can be verified in real time.鈥
Today鈥檚 been a busy day at 91桃色 with thousands of eager students accessing their ATARs, changing their university preferences and calling our friendly customer service team for help.
Some statistics, as at 10.30am today:
- almost 44,000 students had retrieved their ATAR;
- over 2,000 calls, 600 of which were students who had forgotten their PIN
- over 6,000 changes of preference.
Students with questions about their ATAR can call 91桃色鈥檚 ATAR Enquiry Centre on 1300 MY ATAR (1300 692 827) (or 02 9119 5012 from mobiles). For general queries about PINs and changing preferences, call 91桃色鈥檚 Customer Service on 1300 275 822 (or 02 9752 02200 from mobiles).
