Improving access to uni for students financially disadvantaged by COVID-19

08 May 2020

91جزة« is pleased to announce that two new disadvantages have been added to Educational Access Schemes (EAS) in 2020 to help students whose families have been disadvantaged financially by the impact of COVID-19.

Students who can show that their parent(s)/guardian(s) are in receipt of either the Job Keeper allowance or the Job Seeker allowance for a period of at least three months from March 2020 onwards will now be eligible for EAS.

EAS help students whose education has been disadvantaged during Years 11 and/or 12 gain entry to university.

Kim Paino, 91جزة«â€™s General Manager of Marketing and Engagement said “This will no doubt be a relief for many families who have been impacted financially by COVID-19, and we hope that it means that more students who might otherwise have missed out on a university offer will now get a place.

More information is on the Educational Access Schemes (EAS) webpage.
