Year 12s are keen to go to uni in 2024
FURTHER application statistics released today by the 91ÌÒÉ« Admissions Centre (91ÌÒÉ«) show that demand for uni remains relatively strong, especially among Year 12 students.
At the end of November, 67,919* people had applied through 91ÌÒÉ« for study in 2024. This includes almost 40,000 NSW HSC students who are waiting on the release of university offers later this week.
Many Year 12 students have also applied directly to individual universities for study next year to maximise their chances of receiving an offer. 91ÌÒÉ« has processed another 100,305^ of these applications on behalf of individual universities.#
Kim Paino, Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer said, 'Across all the different application channels we can see that Year 12s are still applying for university. The drop in applications through the 91ÌÒÉ« channel is offset by the increase in direct applications. Demand from those not coming straight from Year 12 has reduced this year, as that group is particularly sensitive to the rising costs of living and study, and the strong employment market.'
It’s important to note that these figures are as at 30 November only. Applications for first semester 2024 are open until Friday 2 February 2024.
For more information about applying to university, visit 91ÌÒɫ’s website or call 91ÌÒÉ« on (02) 9752 0200.
